Get to Know Reja Javed, DMD
Where Did Dr. Javed Study Dentistry?
Dr. Reja Javed grew up in West Springfield, MA (home of the Big E!) and attended Smith College where she obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Neuroscience. Dr. Javed subsequently graduated with her dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Javed furthered her education and training in general dentistry by completing a general practice residency at Hartford Hospital.
Dr. Javed believes in educating and serving her communities as a trustworthy and caring provider. Her goal is to restore confidence in her patients' smiles through a personalized and comprehensive approach. Dr. Javed prides herself on being able to make patients feel as comfortable as possible in the dental chair and creating lasting relationships with patients.
Dr. Javed is committed to continuing her education. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, Hartford Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Does Dr. Javed Like to Do?
Outside of the office, Dr. Javed enjoys giving back to the community and volunteering her time with mission trips in rural U.S. communities as well as those outside the U.S., including Nicaragua as part of the Global Medical Brigades. Dr. Javed also participates in the annual CT Mission of Mercy, providing the local urban populations with dental care.
Apart from dentistry, Dr. Javed enjoys traveling and is dedicated to visiting a new country every year. She has been to 15 countries so far, and hopes for that list to keep growing. She also enjoys watching “trash” reality television, exploring new cities and restaurants, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family and friends.
